چکیده
conclusions our results showed for the first time that lyplal1 gene is not associated with a risk of nafld development in the chinese han population. the variant carriers of overall subjects significantly increased weight, bmi and ldl. patients and methods lyplal1 rs12137855 gene was genotyped in 184 patients with nafld and 114 healthy controls using sequencing and polymerase chain reaction analysis (pcr). we tested serum lipid profiles using biochemical methods. background recent genome-wide association studies (gwas) identified that gene lysophospholipase-like 1 (lyplal1) rs12137855 associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (nafld). no research has been performed regarding the association between lyplal1 and nafld in china. objectives the aim of the present study was to investigate the association between the gene lyplal1 rs12137855 and nafld, and the effect on serum lipid profiles in a chinese han population. results no significant differences in genotype and allele frequencies of lyplal1 rs12137855 was found between the nafld group and the controls group (p > 0.05). subjects with the variant lyplal1 rs12137855 cc genotype had a higher mean weight, body mass index (bmi) and low density lipoprotein (ldl).

Association Between LYPLAL1 rs12137855 Polymorphism With Ultrasound-Defined Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in a Chinese Han Population.
OBJECTIVES The aim of the present study was to investigate the association between the gene LYPLAL1 rs12137855 and NAFL...
متن کاملAssociation between white blood cell count and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in urban Han Chinese: a prospective cohort study
OBJECTIVES The white blood cell (WBC) count is a simple and convenient marker of inflammation for use in medical practice; however, its association with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has not been determined. We examined the relationship between WBC and NAFLD to provide a convenient and useful marker for the prediction of NAFLD. SETTING A longitudinal cohort participating in a larg...
متن کاملInteractions of smoking with rs833061 polymorphism on the risk of non-alcoholic fat liver disease in Hubei Han population: a preliminary case–control study
Objective(s):Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has biological actions on energy homeostasis, inflammation and insulin resistance. The present study aimed to investigate the association between VEGF -460 T/C (rs833061), and +936 C/T (rs3025039) polymorphism and risk of non-alcohol fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in Hubei Han population and to further explore the interactions of smoking with ...
متن کاملassociation between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and ischemic stroke.
background: some studies in recent years showed that carotid intima-media thickness (imt), indicator of the presence of atherosclerosis, was higher in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (nafld) in comparison with normal subjects. they concluded that nafld patients may be resulted in more cardiovascular events. hence, we aimed to study the association of nafld and ischemi...
متن کاملAssociation between homocysteine and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in Chinese adults: a cross-sectional study
BACKGROUND Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common liver disease worldwide, and its prevalence is likely to rise even further. To help understand the pathogenesis and early prevention of progressive NAFLD, this large-scale study was designed to explore the potential association between homocysteine and the prevalence of NAFLD. METHODS A total of 7203 subjects aged 18 year...
